Abstract
A case of osteomyelitis of the sternum due toBrevibacterium sp. in a neonate following mastitis of the mammary gland 20 days previously is described. The disease was successfully treated with cefazolin and oxacillin. The results of microbiological examinations and their significance are discussed. Wir stellen einen Fall von Osteomyelitis des Sternums bei einem Neugeborenen vor. Die Erkrankung begann 20 Tage nach einer Mastitis und konnte durch eine Kombinationstherapie von Cefazolin und Oxacillin erfolgreich behandelt werden. Die Ergebnisse der mikrobiologischen Untersuchungen und deren Signifikanz werden diskutiert.Keywords
