Abstract
The following points seem to cover the field of utility for this instrument: for measuring resilience, a property differing from hardness, modulus, elongation, plasticity, etc. For greater speed and accuracy in duplicating rubber compounds. For simplified method for control of factory mixing. For measuring plasticity, since rubber becomes less resilient and more plastic on prolonged mixing. For controlling and comparing the quality of finished products. For measuring the resilience and softness of sponge rubber. Keywords
