Abstract
A series of in vitro studies were conducted with an experimental fluoride-containing prophylactic cup. The results of these studies indicated that the cups released significant amounts of tin and fluoride during a prophylaxis and served to increase the fluoride content of enamel when used with either pumice or fluoride-containing prophy pastes with a low pH.Keywords
