Abstract
A new approximate theory relating the radial distribution function to the pair interaction potential is applied to the calculation of an effective pair potential for neon by use of the recent structure factor measurements of de Graaf and Mozer (see abstr. A82693 of 1971). The approximation is constrained to reproduce the correct pressure and internal energy. Keywords
