Abstract
Summary: Using a 51Cr‐labelled red cell dilution technique, the blood loss associated with elective lower segment Caesarean section was measured in 30 patients, half of whom had a previous history of Caesarean section. The blood loss (mean±SD) was 1290±240 ml for first Caesarean sections and 1012±380 ml for repeat operations.Keywords
