Abstract
Young white rats (80 gm) were subjected to a sodium depleted diet for periods of 2 and 3 weeks. The animals were then sacrificed, the adrenals sectioned in a cryostat (-18[degree]) and stained with the PAS reaction for glycogen. The control glomerulosa contained little or no glycogen, and the considerably broadened glomerular zone of the sodium depleted animals failed to show glycogen. In both control and experimental animals the fascicular and reticular zones contained considerable glycogen. Keywords
