Abstract
The non-cyclicity to cyclicity conversion of a, transfer-function matrix, by using a constant output feedback, is studied in this paper. The conversion is carried out entirely in the frequency domain. It is achieved in two steps: First, a constant matrix of rank one is chosen such that the degree of the minimal polynomial of the resulting transfer-function matrix is increased, while the degree of its characteristic polynomial is retained. Second, such scheme is repeatedly applied until the cyclicity of the resulting transfer-function matrix is reached. A bound on the number of these iterations is also established. Keywords
