Abstract
More interlaminate and ala figures are shown. Figures of subspecies were examined to find variations that would distinguish them. The structure of the shell was examined by decalcification. It was found that the pores in the shell of Balanus nigrescens are nearly filled with tissue and not shelly matter. Other species examined have only a thin layer of tissue lining the parietal pores. Tests were made that show that the structure of the shell is crystalline and not amorphous.
