Abstract
Survival varied by wood species and solvent system when Reticulitermes flavipes (Kollar) (Isoptera: Rhinotermitidae) fed on selected solvent-extracted sawdusts prepared from redwood, black walnut, and baldcypress and on filter paper treated with the corresponding extracts. The best solvent system for removing the detrimental material(s) from all 3 woods appeared to be a mixture of acetone, hexane, and water (53:44:3).Keywords
