Abstract
Acylase I from Aspergillus species catalyzes the reaction of transesterification between vinyl acetate and racemic derivatives of 2-(hydroxymethyl)piperidine. It has been found that the enantioselectivity of the reaction depends on the solvent. Also it has been observed that remote substituents have a great influence on the enantioselectivity. Keywords
