Abstract
A brief exploration of the use of multipurpose workers in England, France, Denmark and Finland confirmed the belief that a single worker relating to and responsible for a given family could make use of relevant specialists but could act as the coordinator in behalf of the family and develop a comprehensive viewpoint as well as earn the family''s cooperation. The worker would carry out or convene the various social and health interventions for a given family in behalf of any and all programs or agencies impinging on the family. Keywords
