Abstract
Two children with convulsions refractory to conventional anticonvulsant therapy had their convulsions rapidly terminated on a number of occasions by intramuscular ketamine. The paradoxical ability of ketamine to cause and to terminate convulsions is discussed and some of the published findings are presented. It is suggested that ketamine is worthy of use in the treatment of convulsions. Keywords
