Corneal Endothelial Response to Rigid Contact Lenses

Abstract
Through modifications of the Nikon slitlamp, a system for repeatable central corneal endothelial photography was devised using the Holden-Zantos technique. The time course of the endothelial bleb response in humans was charted for rigid contact lens wear. The bleb reached a maximum at 10-50 min after lens insertion in the unadapted eye.
