Abstract
An evaluation was made of pyrethroid compounds impregnated in ear tags for control of the face fly, Musca autumnalis De Geer, and the horn fly, Haematobia irritans(L.), on pastured cattle. Ear tags tested included 5 and 10% permethrin (Atroban) ear tags, and 1.5% decamethrin (WRL 53Z) ear tags. All 3 tags provided at least a 95% reduction of horn flies but less than 50% reduction of face flies over the 13 week study. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
