Abstract
Care study: Mrs Rasul is a 55-year-old Asian woman who has had maturity onset diabetes for 17 years. At a hospital clinic appointment she was identified as being at risk of developing a neuropathic foot ulcer. She was referred to the diabetic nurse specialist for education and supervision. She lives at home with her husband, son and daughter. Religious factors dictate that she prays on her knees five times a day, which places pressure on her feet. Keywords
