Abstract
Fibroxanthosarcoma, a rare neoplasm, is a type of malignant fibrous histiocytoma. It is predominantly a tumor of soft tissues, occurring most commonly in the extremities, but it has been described involving the retroperitoneal region. A [human] case of this neoplasm arising de novo in the kidney is reported.
