Abstract
Based mainly on the results of a recent tree survey in the main urban areas of Hong Kong, a series of arboricultural recommendations were made in the fields of nursery practice, planting and maintenance, tree preservation, planning for growth space, and public awareness. Remedies and possible avenues for improvements were given for a selected number of issues that deserved earnest attention. Keywords
