Abstract
The author describes briefly the anatomy of the coronary circulation, discusses critically the newer prepns. and instru- ments that have been devised for studying it, and emphasizes at every point the difficulty of translating exptl. findings into concepts of normalcy. He reviews the most recent anatomical and functional beliefs concerning the coronary venous system, collaterals, and the response of coronary flow to drugs, to increased cardiac load, and to sympathetic nerve stimulation. Keywords
