Abstract
Probabilistic discrimination learning occurs if two situations to be discriminated include the same cues and differ only with respect to the sampling probabilities of the cues. Rates of PDL were similar to those found with partial reinforcement in the same situation. Asymptotically the probability of response to a single cue approaches the conditional probability of reinforcement in the presence of the cue.
