Abstract

Acid catalysed addition of 3-acetamido-3-deoxy-4,6-di-O-acetyl-D-glucal (2) to the relatively complex pseudodisaccharide (4) resulted in regio- and stereoselective formation of the 2-deoxy-α-glycoside (5).
