Abstract
We point out an error in the argument advanced recently by Sukiennicki and Wojtczak which suggests that the molecular-field theory applied to a magnetic film gives no ordered state above the bulk ordering temperature, no matter what the value of the surface exchange. When the surface exchange is considerably larger than the bulk exchange constant , we discuss the properties of the ordered suface state predicted by molecular-field theory.
