Abstract
LITTLE progress has been made in the treatment of carcinoma of the vulva during the last five years, except for a more enlightened conception of the natural lymphatic spread of the disease and emphasis on a more radical surgical approach to the deep lymphatic chains.Among those primarily interested in the disease, the battle for early recognition and preventive treatment has continued. Despite the many articles appearing in the literature, the patient still presents herself to the operating surgeon with a relatively advanced state of malignancy.
