Abstract
The exposure of frozen aqueous acids containing silver(I) salts to γ-rays at low temperature results in the formation of a new paramagnetic species which has the properties expected for [AgH]+. When the acid matrices are warmed this radical readily reacts with excess cations to form [Ag2H]2+.Keywords
