Abstract
Three experiments on small shape discrimination are described. The first investigates the discrimination of square from circle, a discrimination claimed by Lashley to be extremely difficult for the rat and which has since become a matter of theoretical interest. The second and third test a prediction from the writer's theory of shape recognition; the prediction is refuted. Keywords
