Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the statistical properties of interference in the IEEE 802.16 orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) network by system level simulation. In the IEEE 802.16 network the interference per subcarrier, the average interference, and the interference root mean square (RMS) are stochastic processes. We provide the approximations for the probability density functions of these stochastic processes in case of the "partial usage of subchannels (PUSC) with all subchannels" subcarrier permutation schemes in both downlink and uplink subframes. The results, obtained in this paper, may be used to simplify the system level simulation of the IEEE 802.16 OFDMA networkKeywords
