Two Flavonoid Glycosides fromCassia occidentalisPods

Abstract
From the ethanolic extract of the pods of Cassia occidentalis, two flavonoid glycosides namely 3,5,3′,4′-tetrahydroxy-7-methoxyflavone 3-O-(2″-rhamnosyl glucoside) and 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-3,6,3′-trimethoxy-flavone 7-O-(2″-rhamnosyl glucoside) have been isolated and their structures characterised. Both these aglycones (1, 2) are known but their glycosides are being reported for the first time.
