Abstract
A number of mathematical techniques have been recently applied to McReynolds' tabulation of ΔI values for 10 compounds run on 226 liquid phases. This paper compares seven calculations that have been used to measure the “polarity” of liquid phases. Although the mathematical computations are quite different, the resulting polarity values are remarkably similar. Keywords
