Abstract
Pro. collagen was prepared from rabbit skin and its solubility characteristics were studied. Both citrate and Ca ions exert a strong solubilizing action on procollagen. Added acid mucopoly-saccharides from skin and chondroitinsulfuric acid from cartilage show little, if any, influence on the solubility of procollagen. Keywords
