Abstract
The imaging reconnaissance sensors being increasingly used today for intelligence gathering activities provide data more rapidly than it can be exploited for many intelligence purposes. One exploitation task typically performed on reconnaissance imagery is the determination of the geographical coordinates of targets and features of interest. Because the current techniques used to perform this task rely heavily on time-consuming and error-prone manual methods, a totally automatic technique for determining target coordinates is needed. The automatic technique proposed herein relies on current image correlation/matching technologies. Keywords
