Abstract
An exact solution of Marchenko equations for rational scattering data of arbitrary order is developed, with reference to the case of two coupled waves propagating in a lossless (optical) waveguide. Some numerical examples are presented for the synthesis of coupling structures having a prescribed frequency responseKeywords
