Reproduction in the Lesser Bushbaby (Galago senegalensis moholi) under Semi-Natural Conditions

Abstract
A brief review of the literature on reproduction in the lesser bushbaby reveals some large sub-specific differences between Northern and Southern varieties in respect of the incidence of twin births, length of the gestation period, birth weight and the incidence of post-partum estrous. Since we have been studying the behaviour of the most Southern variety of the lesser bushbaby, G. s. moholi, over the past five years under semi-natural conditions and, more recently, in the field, we have accumulated a good deal of data on reproduction in this sub-species.
