Observation of2ℏωhexadecapole strength in lead nuclei from 200 MeV inelastic proton scattering

Abstract
Excitation of strength peaked at 12.0 MeV is observed in and via the inelastic scattering of 200 MeV protons. Based upon angular distribution measurements in we interpret the strength as an isoscalar , , excitation.
