Abstract
The chemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins has undergone significant development during the last decade. The synthesis, chemical reactivity, physical properties and electrochemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins containing both σ and donor-acceptor bonds are presented. These new classes of metalloporphyrins are important in biological processes, in synthetic organometallic chemistry, and in the preparation of new materials. Keywords
