Abstract

Optical and conductivity measurements on the organic charge-transfer complex (NBDT)₂I_xBr_3–x indicate that the iodine chain is not conducting and disorder is important in the parent compound (NBDT)₂I₃{NBDT = naphthaceno[5,6-cd: 11,12-c′d′]bis[1,2]dithiole}.
