Abstract
A new analytical solution has been obtained for stellar models by solving Einstein's field equations for the spherically symmetric and static case. The density variation is found to be smooth and positive under all conditions. The authors show that if they change the variable r to x=Cr2, where C is a constant, the field equations are reduced to a form which is easier to solve. Two specific cases, namely P14 g cm-3. For (dP/d rho )<or=1, the maximum mass of a neutron star model is found to be 4.15 M& and the surface red shift is found to be 0.845.Keywords
