Abstract
Glass-transition phenomena occurring in crystalline states of orientational and positional disorders, random-site electric-dipoles and competing ferro-antiferroelectric interactions are reviewed and the structural properties of the glassy phases are discussed. Especially systematic studies of the temperature dependences of dielectric constants, lattice parameters and X-ray diffuse scattering profiles and of the frequency dependence of dielectric constants in a competing ferro-antiferroelectric system are reported. Analogues of spin-glasses are seen in the dielectric glassy phases.
