Abstract
Continuously cycled display cells of evaporated WO3 on tin oxide show a progressive reduction in contrast with time. Partial restoration of the cells was observed when the WO3 was irradiated with uv, particularly if the cell was biased into the bleaching mode. The observed effect is consistent with optical depopulation and subsequent removal of trapped charge. Keywords
