Abstract
During December 1951 and January 1952, several cases of rickettsialpox were observed in West Hartford, Conn., (Dr. M. E. Rindge). A strain of R. akari was recovered from mouse mites A. sanguineus collected in the building where cases occurred. The strain was identified by cross-immunity tests in mice and serol. tests in guinea pigs. Keywords
