Abstract
A severe outbreak of the sugar beet leafhopper (Eutettix tenellus Baker) during 1926, which caused heavy losses to the sugar beet industry in the intermountain region, was accompanied by a wide dispersal of the insect. This paper records observations made on the occurrence of the leafhopper and curly-top disease during a survey undertaken in cooperation with the States of Idaho and Montana and Canada to determine the new range of the pest.
