Abstract
Measurements of neutron production by the proton bombardment of range-thick targets of Pb and of W at energies of 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, and 1.4 GeV are made for comparison with calculations based on the LAHET code system (LAHET + MCNP) and also with each of two previous experiments. The code estimate of tritium production in the apparatus via the n(3He,t)p reaction is also compared with the present measurements. Keywords
