Abstract
The transverse dynamic susceptibility for the modified Zener model of ferromagnetism is calculated in order to examine the behavior of neutron scattering resonances at low temperatures and at the Curie temperature . The relationship of these calculations to those for a pure itinerant-electron ferromagnet is discussed. The inadequacy of the random-phase approximation in describing the behavior of the spin waves for Ni near is also discussed.
