Interference between Direct and Indirect Modes in Two-Nucleon Transfer Reactions with Heavy Ions

Abstract
Direct and indirect transitions to the lowest collective states are shown to interfere constructively in the pickup reaction (, ) at 104 MeV, and destructively in the inverse stripping reaction (, ) at 99 MeV.
