Photoactivation of isomeric levels inIn113andSr87

A ${}_{}{}^{60}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Co}$ source has been used to photoactivate the 392 keV ($T_{1/2}$∼99.5 min) isomeric level of ${}_{}{}^{113}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{In}$ and the 388 keV ($T_{1/2}$∼2.8 h) isomeric level of ${}_{}{}^{87}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Sr}$. As observed in investigations of ${}_{}{}^{115}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{In}$ and ${}_{}{}^{111}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cd}$, nonresonant processes were found to make significant contributions to the excitation of isomeric levels.
