RENAL SIZE IN VARIOUS NEPHROPATHIES

Abstract
Renal sizes in a group of 68 patients suffering from various nephropathies were compared to expected normal values. Kidneys with lipoid nephrosis and lobular glomerulonephritis were shown to be statistically increased in size, whereas no statistical difference was noted in cases of membranous, membranoproliferative and latent glomerulonephritis. These 2 relatively new entities should be included in the differential diagnosis of enlarged kidneys with no other apparent abnormality on excretory urography.
