Circuit techniques: Enhancing MOS/LSI's role in analog design: High-density amplifiers, A/D and D/A converters, filters, and coder-decoder circuits can now be fabricated

Abstract
Discusses design approaches that combine analog and digital functions on one MOS LSI chip thus lowering the cost and size and improving the reliability of such circuits as linear amplifiers A/D and D/A converters, and precision frequency filters. Instead of the conventional multichip and hybrid designs, analog circuits are fabricated with the same high-density MOS/LSI processes employed for such standard components as digital logic, memory, and microprocessors.
