Abstract
BSSA, barium sulfate particles coated with streptolysin O, was shown to be a reliable agglutinogen for detection and quantitation of anttstreptolysin O in clinical serums. This agglutinating antigen is easily prepared and is stable upon storage for several weeks at 4 C. In contrast with hemolytic titrations, this agglutinin titration is simpler to perform and is not affected by a high concentration of cholesterol in the serum. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
