Abstract
Experiments on mice with Bolus alba (kaolin) showed it to be a poor adsorbent of tetanus toxin. Supra-norit, on the other hand, proved a good adsorbent of tetanus (mice), diphtheria (guinea pigs), and botulinus toxins (mice), leucocidin, etc. The toxins were very tenaceously held by the adsorbents. Merck''s carbo medicinalis was distinctly inferior to supra-norit.
