Abstract
czs-Polyisoprene was degraded by two different methods, ultrasound and ozonolysis. Monte Carlo simulation of the molecular weight distribution after breakdown gave very poor fits to the observed data when the extent of degradation was estimated from number-average molecular weight data. Much improved fits were obtained when the degradation index was estimated by a least-squares method. Keywords
