Abstract
Acriflavine gave insoluble salts with sulfated esters. Paper electrophoretic mirgation of sulfated mucopolysaccharides obtained from commercial sources was performed by using Ricnits' method. The migrated polysaccharides were then fixed by immersing the papers in 95% alcohol and in ethyl ether. After drying, they were stained in M/20 acriflavine solution. The excess dye was removed from the filter paper by rinsing in 95% alcohol. A yellow-orange spot appeared on each of the filter papers at the place corresponding to that of sulfated mucopolysaccharides. The colored spot was produced by a 1:32 dilution of the 1% sulfated mucopolysaccharides solution on the filter paper. Keywords
