Solitary Trichoepithelioma in a 70-Year-Old Man

Abstract
To the Editor.— Trichoepithelioma is a benign tumor that is derived from hair structures.1 These tumors are usually hereditary,2,3 small, numerous, and appear at adolescence. Solitary lesions are not inherited and commonly appear on the face in adult life.4 ,5 I would like to report an unusual case of a 70-year-old man with a solitary trichoepithelioma on the tip of his nose. Report of a Case.— A 70-year-old man, who claimed to have been always healthy, had a growing lesion on the tip of his nose. The color of the lesion was the same as the surrounding skin. It had never bled, and there was no itching. However, it had grown slowly during the last four years. On examination, there was a 25 × 15-mm nodule on the tip of the nose, with the gross appearance of a basal cell carcinoma. No enlarged lymph nodes were palpated
